- My little girl and I were united on December 19th, 2006. I have sinced learned that my floor will never be clean, I'll never catch up on all the laundry so why try?, metal dog bowls make the best drums, and that being a mom is the best feeling in the world. Soon after my daughter came home, we fought a terrible infection that the doctor's weren't sure she would survive. After spending a month in the hospital, with multiple medical procedures and having to make hard decisions, I realized that I was strong enough to adopt a child with special needs. In August of 2009, I brought home my then 4 year old son from India. Adoption is an amazing blessing!!

Oh I'm so sorry Becky that has to be rough, our dog just turned 14 and I am dreading the day:(
